Jim Anderson

Jim Anderson has been a leading figure in acoustic audio engineering, recording, and production for near 50 years. His work has won thirteen Grammy and Latin Grammy Awards, two Peabody Awards, and received two Emmy nominations. He has worked with a diverse range of artists, including McCoy Tyner, Christian McBride, John Zorn and hundreds of others. In 2003, he help found the Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music at NYU, where he is now Professor Emeritus, and became the President of the Audio Engineering Society in 2008. Anderson is recognized as an industry leader in the immersive audio field, and his recordings are highly acclaimed, regularly featuring at the Grammy Awards and on Critics’ Annual ‘Best of’ lists. Jim’s latest recording with Gonzalo Rubalcaba and featured Ron Carter and Jack DeJohnette, “Skyline,' won the Grammy for Best Jazz Instrumental Album in 2022. Jim lives in NYC and co-owns Anderson House Audio New York with his wife, Ulrike Schwarz.

Bill Frisell

Jonathan Goldberger

Jonathan Goldberger

Guitarist Jonathan Goldberger's diverse musical background encompasses composing for independent films, collaborating with contemporary jazz and rock artists, and leading his own projects. He has been featured on stage and in the studio with artists such as Red Baraat, Jim Black, John Zorn, and Joe Russo. Goldberger also composed memorable scores for films such as Trans and The Hawk is Dying. His 2018 album Visitors, a collaboration with JP Schlegelmilch and Jim Black, was named one of Rolling Stone's 20 Best Jazz Albums of the year. Goldberger's latest project, the jazz-fusion quartet Selcouth Quartet, released their debut record in fall of 2023.

Julian Lage

Julian Lage burst on the scene in 2000 when he performed at the Grammy Awards at the age of 12. Since then, he’s backed up that performance by releasing three Grammy-nominated albums. Julian is married to the multi-talented singer-songwriter Margaret Glaspy.

Anthony Pirog

Anthony Pirog

Anthony Pirog is a jazz, experimental, and rock guitarist, composer, and pedal effects magician. Pirog's versatility finds him performing as a solo musician, in a duo with cellist Janel Lepin, and as a leader of his own trio and sextet, among many other configurations. He is known for his work in the band The Messthetics, a freewheeling power trio with bassist Joe Lally and drummer Brendan Canty, both from Fugazi, who announced a new album to be released in March 2024. Anthony's latest solo project, The Nepenthe Series Vol. 1, is an album of duets with fellow guitarists, including Andy Summers (The Police), John Frusciante (Red Hot Chili Peppers), Nels Cline (Wilco).

 
Ulrike Schwarz

Ulrike Schwarz

Ulrike Schwarz is a highly acclaimed engineer, producer, and audio innovator with over three decades of experience in the film, television, radio, and recording industries. Hailing from Germany, Schwarz spent over a decade as the senior sound engineer for large orchestral and jazz productions at Bayerischer Rundfunk in Munich, earning numerous prestigious awards. She has received multiple Grammy nominations for her work with a diverse range of artists, such as Patricia Barber, Jane Ira Bloom and conductor Mariss Jansons and the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra. Ulrike’s Grammy nominated recordings include Jane Ira Bloom’s “Picturing the Invisible - focus 1,” “Symphonic Dances” by composer Gisle Kverndokk and performed by the Stavanger Symphony Orchestra, and “Clique” by Patricia Barber. Ulrike currently lives in NYC and co-owns Anderson Audio New York with her husband, Jim Anderson.
